The Music

 Brent Talks About The Music

Brent Rozell talks about the music and its power.

Music has always been a part of my life. The songs that I play speak to me depending upon my mood. I feel the thing that sets me apart as a musician is that I do not play from my head; I play from my heart as I feel that is the way music is supposed to be played, and not just imitated. My years of experience have taught me that music is a gift from God and I want to make the most of my gifts and share them with the world.

As far as song writing, I write a variety of styles, much like I play a variety of styles. I don’t want to be pigeon holed as a particulars style artist. But instead, a versatile talented musician who can wear many different hats and be comfortable in them.

Getting out.! -

Bet you been wondering what I've been doing lately. After having to slow things down some a bit to help take care of my parents, whom have joined each other in heaven, I'm slowly climbing into the game.I've joined Vince Vance and the Variants, little over a year ago,and made that my main focus. Now we have a break in our tour, I'm booking the Soulmates band again so look out,I'm far from done yet. I met some wonderful people on the road, one of them Kenny " the Snake" Stabler football legend, turns out he plays guitar also, and told me I could play my "a" off,and would to hear me with my band.We backed up the legend of female R&B singers Irma Thomas twice so far,and opened for Harry Connick Jr,and Trombone Shorty, during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and performed on Carnival Conquest Cruise line, and didn't get stuck at Sea!  Been writing some new songs, hopefully will get back to studio this year.I will continue to work with Vince Vance some and my shows back on market in near future, thank you for your support and prayers during the difficult time of losing both parents so close together, don't give up on me yet because I'm far from done! Look for posting for a few local shows and come out and see me and say hello,Thanks Brent.
